Depression Has No control over Me.
Welcome to 40 Days Higher Ministry. I'm Denna M. Davis, your enthusiastic guide to your Higher Calling, in Christ Jesus. I believe in setting expectations early and often.
With that in mind, let me state up-front: I am not a therapist, a counselor, or a doctor. Nor do I intend to present myself as such. I do, however, wholly believe in using them, and have undergone much-needed therapy in my life.
I am an ICAgile Certified Professional Agile Coach (ICP-ACC), and I use that skill set to aid in my services. By the authority of the Blood of Jesus, I am a survivor of suicidal depression who has acquired tools to help guide you on the road to a thriving life!
For most of my life, depression was a constant state of being. Molestation, rape, infidelity, abuse from many different areas, and profound loss. I was conditioned to accept failure as my lot in life. I believed God simply did not see me. Suicide was a constant, toxic friend I never wanted, hanging like a rotting albatross around my neck. And I turned from God.

Twice God said, "No!!"
People suffering from depression to the point of suicide (whom I call The Besieged) don't hurt alone. The family and loved ones also struggle. I call them Hopefuls. The Hopefuls suffer right along with the Besieged because Hopefuls can see the Besieged are under attack, but they're unsure how to help pull them out. And sometimes they make the situation worse with an unintended statement or act.
Believe me when I tell you a Besieged cannot subdue depression alone. They need Hopefuls and your faith, hope, and love. I've been there. I want to help.

God saved me for this purpose: to go and spread the gospel of Truth. "What is more important than the harvest?" He asked me. And my answer is, "Nothing." My highest importance is His commission...and that's you.
